LOW VOLTAGE VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES

The CFW line of Variable Frequency Drives delivers optimum control for both Single Phase and Three Phase electric power and is available in voltages of 208-230V, 460V or 575V.

CFW 08 Plus

WEG’s CFW 08 Plus Vector Series boasts a sleek design and is one of the most full-featured microdrives available in today’s market. Revolutionary features and customizations in a NEMA 1 enclosure permit the CFW 08 Plus to be used effectively in a myriad of applications. Available in single phase (230V) and three phase (230V, 460V or 575V) from 0.25 HP to 20HP.

CFW 10

WEG’s Digital CFW 10 VFD Series was engineered using the best elements of the very popular CFW 08 Plus. Not only does it boast a compact and easy to mount package, the CFW 10 VFD offers a simplified keypad and bright LED readout; complete with diagnostics and fully programmable I/O and controls three phase AC motors with a single phase AC input. Utilizing single phase 120V AC input voltage allows for the production of three phase 230V to drive motors up to 1HP and single phase 230V AC to produce three phase 230V to drive motors up to 3HP.

CFW 09

Utilizing Vectrue Technology ™, WEG’s CFW 09 unites V/F, Sensorless Vector and Closed Loop Vector control capabilities in a single product. The need for a dynamic braking resistor is virtually eliminated thanks to Optimal Braking™, delivering a simple, more compact and economical solution. The CFW 09 from WEG is available in ranges from 1.5HP to 600HP in single phase (230V) and three phase (230V, 460V, and 575V)

CFW 11

WEG’s CFW 11 is a next generation inverter utilizing revolutionary technology designed for three phase induction motor control. Engineered to deliver increased productivity, WEG’s new line leverages many great innovations. The CFW 11 frequency inverter makes use of Plug and Play technology by automating recognition and facilitating state-of-the-art configuration, accessories, and options all designed to allow for effortless installation and safe operation. The on-board USB port simplified device connection, programming and monitoring. A built-in memory card enables users to create functions without utilizing an external PLC.

CFW 11M Modular Drive

WEG’s CFW 11M Modular Drive is the next generation of frequency inverters designed to support elevated powers. Available in powers from 400 to 2500 HP and voltages from 380 – 690 V, with 6 and 12 pulse input rectifier.

NEMA 4 Enclosures

Several applications require heightened protection from dust and water which is why the WEG CFW 08 Plus, CFW 09 and CFW 11 inverters are available with NEMA 4 Enclosures. The Pamensky custom shop located in Toronto, Ontario has the technical knowledge to offer control systems in enclosures suitable to withstand any application.

MEDIUM VOLTAGE VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES

WEG Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives are designed with the state of the art technology and use a multilevel structure with high voltage IGBT’s (6.5kV) reducing the motor harmonic currents to extremely low levels. The input rectifier configuration with 12-pulse or 18-pulse results in high power factor fully meeting IEEE-519 requirements.

The MVW-01 is designed with multiprocessing control architecture and uses a 32-bit high performance processor (64-bits bus) with floating-point capability, ensuring a high performance control of the drive and motor. The MVW-01 follows the same programming philosophy of the LV WEG drive, resulting in a simple speed variation solution for MV applications. The MVW-01 drives introduce remarkable innovation on the segment of medium voltage speed variation, combining robustness, simplicity, reliability and safety in a compact solution with the latest generation technology.

CUSTOM PANELS

V.J. Pamensky Canada Inc. is now producing Custom Panels in the Toronto Panel Shop. Enclosed Drive Panels and custom VFD panel solutions built to customer specification are now available with quick turnaround and with WEG and Pamensky’s commitment to quality and service.

The Enclosed Drive Panel is an industrial general purpose AC motor control and protection package. It is designed for simple and quick installation and start-up, requiring only input power and output motor connections. The Enclosed Drive Panel is built to complement the ruggedness and reliability of WEG electric motors, providing a complete, simple, and cost effective AC motor control, monitor and protection solution.

Combination Soft Starter panels and custom soft starter solutions built to customer specification are now available with quick turnaround and with WEG and Pamensky’s commitment to quality and service.

The GPH Series of WEG Combination Soft Starters is an industrial general purpose AC motor Soft Starter package designed for simple and quick installation and start-up, requiring only input power and output motor connections. The NEMA 4/12 enclosure is ideal for dusty or wet environments. The GPH starters are built to complement the ruggedness and reliability of WEG motors, providing a complete and cost effective AC motor starting and protection solution.

SOFT STARTERS

WEG Soft-Starters are micro processed, fully digital, state-of-the-art products designed to ensure the best starting and stopping performance of induction motors. The human-machine interface (HMI) allows easy adjustment of the parameters which helps in set up and operation. The WEG soft starter line is class leading with features that allow the starting, stopping and protection of electric motors in an easy and efficient manner.

LOW VOLTAGE SOFT STARTERS

SSW 05 Plus

The SSW-05 Plus Micro Soft-Starters, with DSP control (Digital Signal Processor) have been designed to supply excellent performance during starting and stopping of electric motors with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. The Operator Interface allows easy parameter setting, simplifying the start-up and operation activities. The SSW-05 Plus Micro Soft-Starters are compact, optimizing the space in electrical panels. The SSW-05 Plus already incorporates protection for the driven motor.

WEG Superdrive Software for SSW-05 Plus

The Windows-based Superdrive software can be used for setting parameters, control and monitoring SSW-05 Soft-Starters. It allows setting parameters on-line directly to the Soft-Starters and/or setting of parameters off-line into a file. With this software package users are able to store user parameters from existing SSW-05 Soft-Starters. The communication between the Soft-Starter and the computer is provided through RS-232 serial interface.

SSW 06

WEG SSW-06 series soft-starters are micro-processor controlled, fully digital and designed with state-of-the-art technology. Excellent acceleration and deceleration control is achieved with an optimized cost to benefit ratio.

The HMI allows easy programming during commissioning and operation. The built-in “Pump Control” function gives optimized pre-set pump application parameters, avoiding “Water Hammer”.

Built-in by-pass reduces power and heating losses in the thyristors, providing size reduction and energy saving. It is available in the models from 10A up to 820A.

SSW-06 soft starters have a programming option specially developed to simplify the start-up, by an oriented and automatic sequence that guides the user to the sequential programming of the minimum characteristics required for adaptation of the soft-starter to the driven motor and load.

The SSW-06 soft-starters can be communicated to fieldbus communication network through the most common standard protocols in the world including Modbus RTU, Profibus DP / DP-V1, DeviceNet, DeviceNet Acyclic, Ethernet / IP and Ethernet / Modbus / TCP.

Mainly intended to integrate large automation plants, communication networks offer many advantages in the supervision, monitoring and on-line control of the soft-starters, providing high performance and great operational flexibility.

To be connected to communication protocols, as Profibus, DeviceNet and EtherNet, optional modules need to be fitted in the Soft Starter. For connecting the SSW-06 to Modbus RTU network the RS-232 or RS-485 adapter can be used.

Besides providing protection, monitoring and motor control, it is allowable the use of digital and analog I/Os of the SSW-06 as a remote unit in a Profibus DP network.

SSW-06 Soft Starters have a SoftPLC resource that provides PLC functions in the SSW-06 giving flexibility to the user and allowing development of customized user application programs.

WEG’s Windows-based Superdrive software package for the SWW-06 Soft Starter provides easy programming, control and monitoring of the soft starter. Features of the software include automatic SSW-06 identification, Read/Write parameters, Online/Offline parameter settings for user application settings, application documentation creation. The Trace Function of the software can provide the user with the soft starter’s status through waveforms and can help with troubleshooting problems.

SSW 07 and SSW 08

The SSW-07 and SSW-08, with DSP (Digital Signal Processor) control were designed for high performance on motor starts and stops with an excellent cost-benefit ratio. Easy to set up, it simplifies start-up activities and daily operation.

The SSW-07 and SSW-08 are compact optimizing space in electric panels. It already incorporates electric motor protection. It adapts to customer needs through its easy-to-install optional accessories. Thus, a keypad and a communication interface or a motor PTC input can be added to the product.

The SSW-07 and SSW-08 series soft starters have been developed to achieve the best cost benefit ratio. The by-pass built-in allows energy saving as well as increased Soft Starter lifetime.

The SSW-07 and SSW-08 are equipped with the same functionalities, being the SSW07 applied for heavy load starts and the SSW-08 for light and moderate load starts. The SSW-07 and SSW-08 soft-starters can communicate with fieldbus communication network through some of the most common standard protocols in the world including Profibus DP (with MFW01), DeviceNet (option), Modbus RTU RS-232 (option) and Modbus RTU RS-485 (option).

Both SSW-07 and SSW-08 Series have built-in bypass to minimizes power losses and heat dissipation in the thyristors, providing size reduction and contributing to energy saving. This is available in all models.

MEDIUM VOLTAGE SOFT STARTERS

The SSW7000 uses state-of-the-art technology to provide smooth start / stop control and overload protection for three-phase medium voltage induction motors. Developed to ensure excellent performance, the SSW7000 reduces mechanical shocks from impacting the driven machinery as well as limiting the inrush current demand on your power system. The SSW7000 offers a complete solution for all your applications.

The SSW7000 features FTC®, Flexible Torque Control. This unique WEG technology uses vector and direct torque control concepts, based on VFD technologies developed by WEG. FTC is used to select the desired torque control according to the type of load applied to the motor (constant loads, quadratic loads, or loads with lower or higher starting torque), providing a smooth start with a linear speed ramp during the entire starting process.
