WEG Crusher and Aggregate Duty Motors

WEG’s Crusher Duty line of motors and controls has a proven track record exceeding the extreme demands of the aggregate and cement industries. WEG Crusher Duty motors are totally enclosed fan cooled with very high starting torques, oversized roller bearings, oversized shafts built with high tensile 4140 steel. They are rated IP55 for superior protection from both dust and water. These motors are suitable for inverter duty and exceed NEMA MG1 Part 31 requirements utilizing the patented WEG WISE insulation system. The motors are designed for complete versatility for use in both horizontal and vertical applications and with the ability to have the terminal box on either side or the top of the motor without disassembling the motor. The new W22 line is available in NEMA Premium efficiency and with special labyrinth seals and inpro seals.

WEG Aggregate Duty motors have special features designed to meet the strenuous environments and applications the aggregate industry provides. WEG’s Aggregate Duty motors are TEFC Three-Phase motors designed with extra thick, extra deep cooling ribs to provide superior strength and heat dissipation. Aggregate duty motors from WEG have FC200 density cast iron frames, class F insulation and a reinforced drive-end endbell for belt drive applications when running on crushers. These motors have a 1.25 service factor up to 100HP and 1.15 on most frames above 100HP, Class F insulation and are inverter duty, exceeding the requirements of NEMA MG1 Part 31. Aggregate Duty motors from WEG have the highest breakdown torque on all ratings in the market for maximum crusher performance. The drive-end endbell is all ribbed for maximum strength for crusher applications. Drive-end roller bearings allow for horizontal or vertical mount and a new heavy iron bearing cap with 4 extra heavy bolts provide more durability.
